Friesland-Kabel has been supplying the Lürssen Group with cables and related cable logistics for almost a decade, helping the traditional shipyard to successfully realise numerous yacht construction and government shipbuilding projects. The shipyard has created some exceptional yachts (80 to 160 m in length) and a wide range of government ships across its various sites.

Since the foundation of the shipyard by shipbuilder Friedrich Lürssen, Fr. Lürssen Werft GmbH & Co. KG has continued to grow with its headquarters in Bremen-Vegesack. With sites across the four federal states in north Germany, the Lürssen Group has perfectly positioned itself for the needs of its customers in the private and public sectors, supplying both the yacht and military shipbuilding segments.

Contract partner since 2014

Friesland-Kabel began its collaboration with the Lürssen Group in 2014, entering into a framework agreement for the delivery of cables, wiring and cable logistics for various shipbuilding projects. A successful business model was created for both parties during this time, distinguishing itself through the close partnership and many years of experience in implementing cable packages for ship and yacht construction. Detailed coordination processes optimised potential and generated synergy which, in turn, led to advantageous cost savings for the client.
