World’s largest megayacht with ice class
Friesland-Kabel provides entire cable package for Silver (former Crystal) Endeavour
The ship from the Endeavour series is the world’s largest yacht with ice class PC6. Friesland-Kabel was commissioned by MV Werften to supply all cables and logistics, helping ensure the successful completion of the ambitious megayacht project.
Into the Arctic with ice class
MV Werften built the Crystal Endeavour (now Silver Endeavour) at its Stralsund site. The megayacht with ice class PC6 can transport passengers through the tropics and polar regions. Equipped for expeditions across the world, the luxury cruise ship has a gross tonnage of 20,200, providing up to 200 passengers with maximum comfort and unbelievable experiences. Spacious, sophisticated accommodation, bars, restaurants and a spa, as well as various viewing areas, leave nothing to be desired on this voyage. The expedition yacht embarked on its maiden voyage in June 2021 following its christening and now joins the Silversea fleet as the Silver Endeavour.
Cable supply and logistics from Friesland-Kabel
Friesland-Kabel supplied DNV-licensed halogen-free cables and all power supply and data technology cables for the construction of the Crystal Endeavour, a crucial component for making its luxury fittings and amenities a reality. Both the shipyard and Friesland-Kabel benefited from the previous successful collaboration on the construction of the global-class megaliner – a successful partnership that also included the supply of prefabricated cable harnesses for the mass production of approx. 3,000 cabins by MV Werften Fertigmodule GmbH.
